HRG tells Jeremy he’s there to help, and insists that they’ve met before. (The Company wiped the kid’s brain after their tests were done.) Jeremy laments what his life has become, but just when HRG has calmed him down, Peter teleports in and a shot is fired. Peter freezes time, but realizes he’s frozen it moments after the bullet has pierced his chest. He falls to the ground, bleeding out, and HRG begs Jeremy to save him. Jeremy insists he will kill Peter, but HRG notes that even though he’s touching Jeremy, he’s not dying. Now in control of his power, Jeremy revives Peter, who takes Jeremy’s healing power and heads to the airport to get back to Hiro. HRG decides that he needs to get back to work helping those with abilities, and apologizes for failing Jeremy the first time around.
The general consensus is that the previous episode was a good example of a bad transitional episode. Despite all the movement of pieces on the board, there wasnâ??t much to enjoy. The same transitional approach is in play in this episode, yet it seems to have just a little more heft to it. Even so, the problems with â??Heroesâ?? still persist.
Or not. When the girls get back to the dorm room, Claire calls Gretchen out on all the photos and odd behavior. She even outright accuses Gretchen of murdering Annie to open up a spot in Claire’s bedroom. Gretchen denies killing Annie, but confesses that she does have a little bit of an obsession with Claire. But no worries: “I’m not stalking you, I’m crushing,” Gretchen says, as she lays the much ballyhooed kiss on Claire, who is speechless.
I was also displeased with the direction taken with Nathan/Sylar. Four episodes into the season, the writers have already all but abandoned the entire point of â??reprogrammingâ?? Sylar into thinking he was Nathan. I said previously that it was a mistake to have Sylar start showing through the seams too quickly, but now itâ??s clear that they never had any intention of keeping â??Nathanâ?? around for any meaningful purpose.
After the Heroes Season 4 premiere tanked in the ratings, we asked you Reelers if you thought we should save or sink Heroes.
Much like last week, ABC and FOX were the ratings winners. All NBC series dipped, so I’m thinking that with 5.5 million viewers (down 15% from the premiere) and high production costs that Trauma has officially entered the Cancellation Danger Zone.
Many people here the word software and technology and they immediately panic “Technology scares me and that’s why I prefer to stick with the cable or satellite companies” they say. Yet it is so simple to operate the software and enjoy the benefits of television viewing freedom all that is required is access to a broadband connection, and thousands of television channels are yours for the viewing.
Is that what we want? Do we, the ordinary people of the world, want to sit and simply watch as those with exotic powers go about their super-business? Is that how we feel? We are just second-rate, average, day-to-day, while some – a tiny few – are able to do wonderful things, things that the rest of us can only look on and admire? Well, yes, if recent history is anything to go by. In fact, it might seem as if the whole of Western culture (and most television) is based around the idea that to be in the majority is to be OK, but nothing special. Meanwhile there a few lucky people who stand out. They are the men who get the girl; the girls who get Number One records; the people who get rich, win awards, climb mountains and appear on TV. That’s it, isn’t it? That’s life?
