TV Burp

by on Nov.30, 2009, under Uncategorized

There are certain TV shows that appeal to a huge range of people such as Friends, X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing.  Millions of people tune in each week and spend a lot of time yakking about what’s gone on.  One of the most popular shows in early prime time slot is TV Burp hosted by none other than comedian Harry Hill.

Harry Hill is quite simply a legend, and one of the most recognizable individuals on TV thanks to his bald head and iconic costume.  He wears a big collared white shirt under his dark suit, with a pair of 1950s retro glasses, a selection of pens and some badges on his jacket lapelle.

Hill has been performing stand up comedy since the early 1990s; originally trained as a medical doctor, he left medicine because he didn’t feel in control of what was happening around him.  After a succession of hit television and radio shows, he began presenting TV Burp and later You’ve Been Framed.

The TV Burp show itself is a comedic look at the past week on television.  From funny scenes on soap operas and dramas to comedic clips of news reports, Harry Hill puts them together with his own brand of humor.  The show is very popular as it appeals to a broad audience, from children to pensioners, and regularly has you crying with laughter.

Such is the popularity of TV Burp and other Harry Hill shows, demand for a costume like Hill’s is growing fast.  There’s only one fancy dress retailer that offers such a costume- Atlantis Fancy Dress.  The Burp costume as worn by Harry Hill features the iconic big collared white shirt, 1950s style glasses and a baldy wig.  Wear it to any party and you’ll definitely be the centre of attention!
